Counselor Training About To Begin
As discussed in the February monthly meeting, the chapter intends to provide training for all chapter members interested in training in “Counseling Clients.” The basis of the training will be a new program that the SCORE National Organization is encouraging all Chapters to initiate.
This will be a two session training, each session will run from an hour to an hour and a half. The two sessions will be offered in successive weeks. The workshop sessions will be held at the Norfolk Chamber office. Materials will be provided that can be used during future counseling sessions.
In determining the days and times for the sessions, we want member input. We can schedule these for either Tuesday or Thursday and can begin either at 9:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m.
It is our intent to schedule these workshops for the weeks of April 17-19th for Session One, and Session Two for April 24-26th.
As soon as the survey is completed, the dates and times will be e-mailed to all members that have expressed an interest. Member response needs to be conveyed to Vern, Don or Rebecca by noon on Thursday April 5th.
